Who says piggyback rides are just for kids? Whil Who says piggyback rides are just for kids? While I don’t suggest them during every session, they are a favorite option for siblings, teens and couples, because nothing beats the giggles and candid smiles that come from a little silliness. During a recent extended family session, Grandma stole the spotlight when she requested a piggy back from her daughter after I suggested them to the teens! The playful moment created several adorable shots that were some of my favorite from the session. 💖 Drop me a comment to share your when you had your last piggy back!

When you gift a photo session, you’re really giving two gifts - memories that last a lifetime and treasured keepsakes for future generations! And as one mom said when ordering gift certificates for her adult children, I’m her ‘one-stop holiday gift shopping, that is secretly selfish!’ 😉 I can email you a certificate to print out and present, or give them an empty picture frame with a handwritten note explaining it is for the photos that will be created during their session. Certificates are available for half-hour and full-hour sessions and are valid for one year from the date of purchase, so the recipient can schedule their session at their convenience. Holiday photos aren’t just for families of parents Holiday photos aren’t just for families of parents and children - they can fit whatever your family looks like. Single parents with kiddos, multigenerational families, or even chosen family of friends. Since 2018, these sisters and their pets have scheduled an annual holiday family session. It’s always a circus - trust me that multiple pets is crazier than toddlers - but it’s also always a blast because they come to have fun. The pictures are cherished but the time together celebrating their bond is the real reason for the session.

From planning, to setup, pack up, and cleaning before items are stored to be used again in the future. But it’s all a part of this awesome life I dreamed of for years. “When I started counting my blessings, my whole li “When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.” —Willie Nelson Thanksgiving looks a little different than we expected this year, but there is still so much that I give thanks for, such as: 💜 My hubby gets to spend quality time with his mom as she ages. 💜 My parents’ house in VA is finally sold, lessening their financial and physical burdens. 💜 Our pets are still active and happy during their senior years. 💜 We’ve built a sustainable life that can adapt to a sudden furlough and uncertainty. 💜 We have a comfortable home with enough space to pursue our goals. 💜 I have friends near and far who cheer me on while keeping me ‘mostly’ sane! 💜 I have the education and experience to improve and grow my business in the coming year. And I am beyond grateful that I get to earn a living being creative - behind the 📷, crafting props to use (thanks to my thrifting habit) and finding new ways to serve my community! The flexible schedule that works around my night 🦉 tendencies and homestead demands is an added bonus.
